No Day But Today

This post is a review of my last week, backwards. It's been just wonderful, and of course the days are just flying by. I am down to 10 days left of work, and 2 weeks left in Seattle. I am beginning to have some 'senioritis' at work as I can't wait to have 2 1/2 months off! I am not, however, excited in the least to leave Seattle. The saving grace is that I know I'll be back here in August to live permanently! Get excited. Here goes on my wonderful week! Today I relaxed and Mike and I finalized some plans for our European get away. Kind of nice to start the week out feeling 'ahead'! View of Rainier from my balcony.
Saturday we went to a financial seminar at church; it is my charge now to be an even better steward of my money and to learn the lingo of investments and home buying! (for the future... don't freak out!) Friday night was happy hour after work with some nurse buddies. It's always fun to go out with the girls, and this week certainly warranted a glass of wine after work on Friday! I've discovered about myself that I can't work (healthily) with (cancer) patients 5 days a week. There's just not enough time for me to re-charge on the weekend to be able to bring my full game like I want too! I've also discovered that it's been so nice to travel and not be somewhere longer than 3 months. It's allowed me to get as close as I want to all of my patients, and when I leave, I can assume that they are all doing wonderfully! Staying here 5 months has not afforded that opportunity!
Another picture from my balcony. The Paramount Theatre. Rent was showing there this week, so I hopped over to buy a same day ticket for $20! I sat in the 2nd row orchestra pit! I cried through the whole 2nd half. It was the best date I've ever had with myself. NO DAY BUT TODAY!

Last weekend Mike and I flew home to spend the weekend with our families! I got to meet his niece and nephew, Carson (2) and Olivia (9 months), and we sort of made our 'debut' to my family. It was a little 'under the microscope' if you catch my drift, but it was so amazing to see everyone! This is the view of the city from our seats at the Cards game. Too bad they lost 13-0. Yikes!
