Sunbreaks in 'June'uary
This is my first June in Seattle, and so far I am the opposite of impressed. For the past 2 weeks, we haven't hit 60! Today is the first day it has stopped raining long enough for me to run! Well, I take that back. Sunday, Mike's parents were in town, and we went Whale Watching up in the San Juan Islands. By some miracle, the sun came out, and we had a wonderful day!
We saw a group of 6 Orcas! They were all part of the J-pod which is one of the 3 'southern resident pods' in the Pac NW. One of the orcas was a 3 year old! (The people on the trip knew them by name!) It really was incredible. We get to spend this next weekend with Dave and Becky as well. The weekend after that is Claire's wedding! Things are looking up!
