Happy Birthday Coop #2

The 'littlest' Cooper turns 17 today! That means I am old, as he is 8 years younger than me. I remember just the other day when he was born. Ryan and I had screen printed shirts (yes you read that right) that said 'big brother' and 'big sister'. Too funny... I'll try to track those down. Steven is a Junior at Marquette High School in Chesterfield. He's tearing up the school being 'Mr. Mustang' and any other assortment of wonderful things. Steven's classic face. He is a big fan of his tongue, and like his older sister has his big mouth open often=)

A glorious city!

Once again the weather in the Pacific NW trumps the midwest. It's been in the low 50s here all weekend, and the sun has shown itself for sure! I love weekends.. 2 days in a row that you don't have to get up and go to work! This morning Mike and I took a ferry across the sound to Bainbridge Island. Don't worry.. we didn't crash like Grey's Anatomy. (By the way, if they kill Meredith off I am going to be very upset!) Per Giada's (food network) recommendation, we had brunch at a little place called Cafe Nola right on the water. Boats, coffee, boys.. life is good! The city this morning from the ferry coming back from Bainbridge Island.

The city from the Space Needle, when my mom and I came back in 2004. Glorious!

Praise the Lord and pass the Biscuits

The title of this blog has been borrowed from Britt... so if you go to her blog (which you should!), you'll see similar postings. www.beboobritt@blogspot.com This weekend I took a red eye to Chicago! Wow it's freezing there! Nina and Britt moved up to the windy (chilly!) city 2 weeks ago, so it was high time that I got there. I was in the city less than 48 hours, but as per our usual routine, we conquered tons. Saturday morning I got off the plane and my beautiful friends escorted me to Hot Chocolate. It's a restaurant that specializes in, you guessed it, hot chocolate!! They even make their own marshmallows. It's so good you can't help but giggle.
3 friends (L to R), Nina, Coop, Britt enjoying chocolate melted with dreams! (That's a Brittanyism)
Dark hot chocolate, white hot chocolate

Sunday morning we went to the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. They offered an unlimited omelette bar and a full brunch, coffee, mimosas, and GOSPEL music. They rocked the house! It was the most joyful, blessing filled morning!

Praise the Lord and Pass the Buscuits!!

Coop, Nina, Britt on Michigan Ave... it's never too cold to shop!

Britt in her kitchen. Nina and Brittany are living together on MICHIGAN Ave! They are just north of Soldier Field, and their apartment is very trendy and cute. I am so proud of my friends and wish them the warmest of thoughts from 50 degree Seattle.

Where the sun don't Shine

This post is so late that it has already started to rain again, but last week was absolutely, absolutely gorgeous here in Seattle. People question the decision to move to the Pac NW in January... but at least I'm not in the midwest where it's 8 degrees! Just kidding.. please enjoy these pictures from last week/weekend. View of Mt. Rainier as the sun was coming up (around 7:45 am- so late!).. that's right, from my apartment balcony!
Again, sunset at the water. The mountains across the sound are part of the Olympic mountain range.

Ok, I like water and rocks and boats. Many more pictures of these things to come! God continues to bless me on a daily basis here. I hope you are experiencing the same!
